If you “literally jumped out of your skin” during a scary movie, you’d be dead.
One of my pet-peeves is when someone misuses the word “literally.” I know they meant to use it for emphasis, but still, it’s annoying. Literally means “without exaggeration” and you’re describing what EXACTLY happened.
