Let’s be real: We all know they photoshopped the woman over the cake.
(Happy Birthday, Bro)
Well this is awkward
As much as I hate that, she admitted herself she honestly thought they were Chinese. That’s ignorance on her part. If you are unsure what the person’s ethnicity is, it’s best to just say “Asian.” Really, there’s more than Chinese and Japanese out there. But why does it even matter if an Asian band won? They have fans that don’t even understand their language listening to their music (from South America, UK, etc.) Doesn’t that show how talented they are?
…You know that Asian group will appreciate it a lot more. Britney would’ve just tweeted “Thanks y’all!” It’s nicer that it goes to someone new who hasn’t had a chance to win much of anything yet.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS POST.
Now this is something nice to see

It’s annoying.
When Big Bang won Worldwide Act, when Girls Generation (SNSD) got on the front page of youtube, when Wonder Girls debuted in America*, negative comments flooded the wall. “Who the hell are they?” “Are they even famous?” “Why are they here?” How ignorant.
First of all, you’re on the internet. Go google them up.
Second of all, how disrespectful can you be? And it’s obvious it’s because they’re Asian. “Who are these Chinese groups?” Some people need to retake geography and realize China isn’t the only Asian country. Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Thai, Cambodian—they’re not all “the same.”
Open your mind and shut your mouth, because k-pop is gradually taking over the world. I’m not much of a fan as I used to be a year ago. But because they’re finally getting recognition, people spouting racist, ignorant, and disrespectful comments are inevitable. Just because you’re hearing of them just now doesn’t mean they were not popular elsewhere.
K-pop (and J-pop, C-pop) fans, don’t worry about haters putting down your artists/groups. You know yourselves how strong the fanbase is. As long as you’re dedicated and support them, you will be one step ahead of the haters (they have much to learn). ;) just keep supporting your artist, help them take over the world—their faces everywhere— just to piss those haters off (trolol). Anyway, I’m glad to see how many foreign fans these artists have.
It just pisses me off to see someone listening to only mainstream music and put down some artist they never even gave a chance.
(* also, congrats on the comeback, girls!)
To themissspears and all pressed Britney fans
Obviously you needed to spend a bit more time voting instead of seating here being pressed. It was all based on votes from the public and had nothing to do with what the EMAs. Maybe if Britney was still popping like she was about 10 years ago, may be she would have won but she didn’t. And it isn’t like she hasn’t won a lot of awards.
Britney hasn’t been on her grind, and I mean, full on being able to lip sync and dance her butt off on stage in years. (We all know she doesn’t sing live.) Now she is just known as the girl that shaved her head, almost dropped her baby and doing her little 2 step dance and getting winded while failing at lip syncing.
Instead of sitting here wondering why she lost to one of the biggest talents in Korea, hell Asia, may be you should go a do a little research to see why they received so many votes and won. Listen to their music and watch some of their concerts, variety shows, and documentary instead of sitting at your computer getting all huffy like a damn blowfish.
Like I said, k-pop (korean pop) has a hugeeee fanbase. They’re dedicated, supportive, and strong. I honestly think if you stick a kpop group in any poll, they’ll win with the help of fans. Big Bang deserved to win. The fans did all they can to help. If you wanted your artist to win, then vote.
My problem with the Britney fans isn’t even that they’re mad. It’s crazy for an artist as big as Britney Spears to lose to Big Bang, even we know that. It’s a big deal to us for that reason…
MY problem is the assumption that Big Bang are nobodies, or new, or never won anything and all of these…
