either my sleeping schedule is messed up, or I really have insomnia. I mean, some people use the term “insomnia” loosely (I admit I have), but it’s serious for others.
Every night, ever since freshman year of college, I’ve been going to sleep around two-four. It’s summer and since I don’t have anything to do during the day, I thought I might as well sleep in. My parents want me to sleep earlier so I can wake up earlier, especially the weekend.
Sometimes, I would wake up and a few hours later, I would need a nap. Last night, I went to bed a few hours earlier than usual—at eleven. I fell asleep and woke up at two. I tossed and turned, flipped my pillow, and was wide awake. Three hours passed and I was still awake. I guess I must have fallen asleep around five or so. It’s ten and I just woke up, still feel tired and not refreshed.
I’m starting to think I have acute insomnia. If not, last night was just transient insomnia. I keep telling myself to get with a sleeping schedule, but I have something to blame: tumblr. Y U NO LET ME SLEEP?
